Our family has a home in Corolla, NC (OBX). The property is an investment and source of income for us so we try to keep it rented as much as possible. At the same time, we love to share it with our friends and family! If you are reading it's probably because we consider you in that category. Our home is a duplex and each unit has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The units have adjoining doors on the 1st and 3rd floor to allow the home to convert easily to a 8 bedroom, 8 bath. We don't charge our friends and family to stay at the house but it does cost us about $500 per week or $75 per night, per unit to maintain the property. Obviously when we block it off for you, we're not able to rent it. So, if you are able to contribute to the cost we would really appriciate it. Contributing also insures that we are able to continue welcoming our friends and family to use the home. Our home is in a neighborhood called Buck Island. It is a gated community with private beach access, a pool easy access to TimBuck2 and excellent shopping and dining spot. Keep in mind that even though the hot tubs are functional year around some amenities in the neighborhood may not be available during the off season.
Unfortunately, we can't make the house available to friends and family in peak season (April-September) if you'd like to stay in the house during peak season let us know and we'll work with our property management company to offer a reduced rate.
